| CHURCH YOUTH GROUP GUIDE - YOUTH ACTIVITIES HOME What's
it all about?
Youth Group is a Friday night programme for young people
aged 7-13.
Who's involved?
This is a combined group for youth from the Parishes of St
Michael and All Angels (Inner City, Christchurch) and Holy Trinity (Avonside,
Christchurch). However, all youth are welcome, so bring a friend along with you.
What do you do there?
Hang out, get involved in heaps of activities, make
friends, share together and also a bit of God stuff...
You may not know all that much about God or God could be
the most important thing in your life!! Whatever way, we want you to know even more about
God. We believe God is AWESOME and we hope that God may become awesome in your life.
Where is it held?
Usually in the Hall at Holy Trinity Anglican Church,
Avonside (on Stanmore Road near Avonside Drive).
When is it held?
Every 1st and 3rd Friday nights of the month during term
time (starting 6pm until 8pm).
Does it cost anything?
Yes it does. Please bring $5 to cover the costs of tea and
running the evening (parents are asked to consult with leaders if this is a problem).
What about the safety of our children?
The safety of children is paramount. We work to ensure that
all our leaders are police checked and adequate references are provided.
Are there RULES?
Yes just a few:
- Listen carefully to leaders and do as they say.
- Be kind to everyone.
- Look after all property (buildings and personal belongings).
- Use only good language.
- Ask the leaders if you want to leave the facilities we are
in at the time.
